UIA Boeing 737 crashes shortly after takeoff in Iran


A Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) Boeing 737-800, with the registration code UR-PSR, crashed early this morning after takeoff from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport, while en route for Kyiv, Ukraine.

The plane crashed shortly after takeoff. The flight’s ADS-B data indicated a normal rate of climb and stable speeds until the data stopped coming in as the plane climbed through 2500 m.

The plane had about 180 passengers onboard, and Iran’s state media has reported that there are no survivors.
