Ryanair cancels nearly all flights in Europe due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Europe’s largest low-cost airline Ryanair expects to cancel most if not all flights due to the significant drop in demand and governments closing their borders.
On Wednesday, 18 Mar, the airline announced that it will cancel nearly all flights starting 24 Mar, and will operate only a small number of flights between the UK and Ireland.
Last week, the Ryanair announced that it would allow travellers to rebook their flights until 31 Mar.
On 16 Mar, Ryanair said it would defer all capital and discretionary spending, suspend share buybacks and freeze recruitment to save money.
