Oman Air cancelled nearly 700 flights in February
Oman Air has cancelled nearly 700 flights in February following the grounding of the Boeing 737 MAX planes in its fleet.
The move includes cancellation of flights to Colombo, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Kathmandu, among others.
Flights to Medina, Manama and Salalah were also affected, as well as flights from Muscat to Athens.
The move comes following the directives issued by Public Authority for Civil Aviation on grounding Boeing 737 Max flights that resulted in cancelling flights between 1 February to 29 February 2020.
Oman Air is rebooking passengers on alternative or next available flights to their destinations and has encouraged passengers to check their flight status.
