Portugal’s flag carrier TAP Portugal has made a move to cancel 1000 scheduled flights in March and April on Thursday following reduced demand resulting from the coronavirus outbreak.
The cancellations mainly affect destinations to Italy, Spain, and France and make up 4% of Tap Portugal’s capacity in March 2020 and 6% in April. The airline now predicts an unspecified impact on revenue. Furthermore, the airline is set to suspend non-vital investment and evaluate possible cost cuts.
