Air traffic at Dubai International Airport affected by heavy rainfall
Heavy rainfall has seriously affected air traffic at Dubai International Airport, UAE as airlines had to cancel flights or divert them to nearby Dubai World Central Airport.
The airport suggests checking flight statuses with airlines or via http://dubaiairports.ae. Home base carrier Emirates Airline has asked passengers to check their flight status on http://emirates.com/flightstatus.
Passengers were waiting in long lines at information points around the airport. Long lines were reported as passengers attempted to get accommodations and boarding passes, and figuring out what to do next. Some had to wait for two hours to board their Emirates flight.
